Mennonite University Admissions 2022: Canadian Mennonite University was incorporated in 1999, through the amalgamation of Canadian Mennonite Bible College (founded in 1947), Concord College (founded as Mennonite Brethren Bible College in 1944), and Menno Simons College (founded in 1988). A fourth college, Steinbach Bible College, was also involved, but later withdrew.
The name, Canadian Mennonite University, was formally announced in early 2000 and classes began in September of that year on a new campus, composed of the campus of Canadian Mennonite Bible College on the south-west corner of Grant and Shaftesbury and the former campus of the Manitoba School for the Deaf.
In 2009, Canadian Mennonite University opened a new Menno Simons College campus on Portage Avenue. In late 2010, a science laboratory was constructed and in 2011 the Redekop School of Business was opened.

In order to be accepted for study, each applicant must provide a completed application form, application fee ($50) and official high school transcripts. Applications for on campus housing must be accompanied by two reference forms and a $50 housing application fee. Mennonite University Admissions Tuition Fees
Notes for Canadian Students:
The tuition fee for a single three credit-hour course is $728. Approximately $15,000 will cover a full academic year of study at CMU, including tuition and student services fees for 30 credit hours of course work, board, and room.
Notes for International Students:
An international student (including U.S.) taking full-time (24 credit hours) courses, living in dorm, and using the full meal plan can expect to pay about $15,000 (Canadian dollars).

Entrance scholarships ($750-$2,000) available based on marks. – 6 Program specific Awards given each year (Humanities, Social Science, Science, Biblical Studies, Communications and Media, Pre-Professional) that are worth $3,000 over 4 years. – 6 Music Awards given each year ($3,000 over 4 years). – 6 Athletic Awards given each year ($3,000 over 4 years). – 4 Leadership Scholarships given each year ($10,000 over 4 years). – Redekop School of Business grants $2,500 scholarships to 20 new business school students, and $1,500 transfer students. – Finally, 5 Outtatown Leadership Scholarship given out ($1,000).

Visa Requirements for International Students
After receiving the acceptance letter from the college applicants need to apply for a valid visa in order to study in Canada. In order to study at Canadian Mennonite University, applicants will require a study permit. To enter Canada students even require a Temporary Residence Visa.
Requirements for a study permit are as follows:
- A valid passport
- Application fee
- Evidence of sufficient funds
- Medical examination
Temporary Visa Permit: This visa can be both single and multiple entries. To obtain a temporary visa permit, students must provide the following documents:
- Valid passport
- Specified application fee (billed in CND)
- The offer of admission received from Lakehead University.
- Evidence of sufficient funds
- Medical exam
Students should note that this whole process may take up to three months. Hence, they should apply accordingly.
Overall, it can be said that the admissions at Canadian Mennonite University are selective. Applicants with balanced applications are more likely to be considered for admission.
